Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC)

Installed 192-miles of double circuit 345/161kV transmission line on self-weathering steel monopoles including removal of existing 161kV in existing ROW. Installed three (3) 345kV Substations on an EPC basis, including O’Brien, Kossuth, and Webster. Included one (1) 345kV Black Hawk Substation Expansion on an EPC basis. Included all environmental, access roads, QA/QC, safety, conductor, OPGW, and static wire. Helicopter aided construction, polymer insulators, large drilled pier (cased and slurry drilled), and full-length anchor bolt foundations. Major outage and return to service constraints were required with provisions for avian protection.
